This lightbulb setting that nobody knows

Imagine yourself in this situation: the decoration of your living room has just been completely redone.

You've put your heart and soul into it, and you may even have invested in the services of an interior designer to help you.

The work is done, night is falling and it's time to turn on the lights. That's when you wonder if you've made the right choices: the colors of the wall and the paintings look completely different, almost bland. Why?

Do you know about CRI?

The Color Rendering Index, or CRI, measures the ability of a light source to reproduce colors faithfully compared to a reference source.

This is unfortunately often overlooked when it comes to choosing lighting for a home or workplace. Yet, CRI is crucial because it has a direct impact on the way we perceive colors, but also on our health and well-being.

Indeed, the higher the color rendering index, the more natural and vibrant the colors are: which improves the feeling of well-being.

In addition, lighting with a high CRI can prove to be beneficial for our health. Poor quality light can lead to eye strain, headaches, and trouble sleeping. With a high CRI, we can reduce these detrimental effects on our bodies and minds.

How to choose the right light source for your home?

IRC recommendations depend on the room.

For example, in a kitchen where food colors are important, a CRI of 90 (or higher) is often recommended. The same goes for a bathroom or living room.

From our point of view, all rooms should have a high CRI.

THE Solution

At Laqi, we are developing just the right solution: a bulb with a high index that automatically adapts its temperature and brightness according to the time of day and our physiological needs. This makes it ideal for any room!

So, shall we?
