Terms of service
1. Purpose
These terms govern the use of the laqi.co website and the laqi app. Both are published by LAQI, a French simplified joint-stock company (SAS) with a share capital of €15,234.50, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 911 391 258, whose registered office is at 61 rue de Lyon, 75012 Paris, France (hereinafter "laqi", "we" or "us").
Using the website or the app implies that you accept these terms. Purchases are governed by our terms of sale.
2. Access to the website and the app
The website is freely accessible. The laqi app can be downloaded free of charge from the App Store and Google Play, subject to the terms of those stores.
The app does not require you to create an account. All you need is a compatible smartphone with Bluetooth turned on. You are responsible for the equipment and internet connection needed.
3. How it works
The app is used to set up your laqi products: the city used to calculate sunrise and sunset times, your wake-up and bedtimes, your spaces and the pairing of your products. It communicates with your controller (L'Œuf or La Boréale) via Bluetooth, and the controller with the bulbs via Zigbee.
To install your product, follow the guide supplied with it.
4. Your data
The app settings stay on your phone and on your controller: they are not sent to our servers and we have no access to them. To find out more, see our privacy policy.
5. Availability and changes
We do our best to keep the website and the app running without interruption, but cannot guarantee it: maintenance, an outage or a technical incident may temporarily suspend access.
We may change, add or remove features. We regularly offer updates to the app and, where applicable, to the software of your products, to fix problems or add features: we recommend that you install them.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to use the website and the app in accordance with the law and these terms, and in particular not to attempt to disrupt them, bypass their security, copy, modify or decompile them, except where permitted by law.
7. Intellectual property
The laqi website, app, trademarks, logos, texts, images, videos and software are protected and belong to laqi or its partners. Any reproduction or reuse without our written consent is prohibited.
We grant you a personal, free, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use the app with your laqi products. It gives you no rights to our trademarks or patents.
8. Liability
laqi cannot be held liable for damage resulting from improper use of the website, the app or the products, from an incompatible device or from a temporary service interruption. These terms do not limit the legal guarantees set out in our terms of sale. Our products are not medical devices.
The website may contain links to third-party websites, whose content we do not control.
9. Children
Children under 15 need a parent's consent to use our services.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
11. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by French law. For any question or complaint, write to us at contact@laqi.co: we will first look for an amicable solution. You may also refer the matter to the consumer mediator named in our terms of sale.
